Participation in sport and physical activity has long been recognized as being an essential component of healthy development, building self-esteem, confidence, and a sense of empowerment in our children, youth and adults with disablities. For the Tornadoes to have this positive effect on both current and future athletes we need your support. By helping us to purchase sport wheelchairs, hockey equipment, sledges and ice and court time we will be able provide these opportunities. You can help children, youth and adults with disabilities realize their dreams and achieve their full potential! Tornadoes Donation Wish ListSport Wheelchair • Sledges • Sledge SticksSport Wheelchair - There are many different styles of sport wheelchairs. Sport chairs are often designed to meet the needs and requirements of the individual using it. These sport chairs allow the athlete to move faster and maneuver quicker around the court. These sports chairs are lighter and stronger than an everyday wheelchair. Each player should be assigned a sport chair that best suits their needs and abilities. • 1 Top end Pro BB: $2,599.00 + tax Sledge - There are many different styles of sledges. Sledges are often designed to meet the needs and requirements of the individual using it. There are High-back sledges, low-back sledges, performance sledges, beginner sledges, as well as goalie sledges. Each player should be assigned a sledge that best suits their needs and abilities. • 1 Performance Sledge: $640.00 + tax Sledge Sticks - Unlike stand up hockey, players use 2 slightly modified sticks. The sticks are used for shooting, passing, stick handling, as well as skating.
